PROGRAMS

Celebration of Cultures - Plans are well underway for the 2010 Celebration of Cultures event, Stay tuned for the time and place for an evening of food, music and dance. “Diversity is a good thing!”

Study Circles - A community-wide program in which racially, economically and socially diverse citizens participate in group sessions. Study Circle members meet four to six times to learn about community issues in a democratic and collaborative way. Trained facilitators lead the study circles and focus on the issues of race and diversity

Leadership Conferences, Education Forums and Award Programs - Activities are offered based on information gathered from community members and identified community issues, needs and concerns.

Brown Bag Lunch Discussions - This program provides the opportunity for discussion on a topic dealing with racial issues. Brown bag lunches are open to all and are held in the Schell Room of the Williamsburg Regional Library on Scotland Street at noon, the first Friday of each month. Bring your lunch and join us.

Film Series - Films that are racially or ethnically focused are provided for public viewing and comment. Films are shown in conjunction with racial and ethnic awareness and heritage months.

All activities are open to the public and most are offered free.
